Turkish “tile art” has a history lasting more than thousand years. However, its brilliant and peak period was lived in Iznik during the 16th and 17th centuries.
Although, the Iznik tile art was startded in the 15th century by the replicas of chinese porcelain,
but in the 16th century it became a unique art in the world with the use of traditional Turkish patterns which are painted by under glaze technique
