Needle patterns are knitted by knowing with small needles. Needle lapping is the process of attaching nodes (loops) side or above by drawing the needle through the thread ring created by wrapping the thread on the needle. It is made by winding the thread on the needle once or twice.
Traditional Turkish needle lace can be fragile and delicate, simple and geometric or sculpted and solid like bendable ivory. It can also be modern and colorful. But in every kind the whole thing is made of thousands of tiny buttonhole stitches. there are dozens of different variants of the buttonhole stitch, and each creates a different density or texture. In Anatolian myth, the tree of life is the symbol of happy, healthy and long life.
