Peach Patterned Jacket Fragment

Part of a jacket from Istanbul (last capital of Ottoman Empire). It is embroidered with silk and silver threads on silk fabric. Embroidered with fruit pattern. Circa 1630, early 17th century. Period of Sultan Murad the 4th.

This old Turkish Ottoman embroidery fragment has definitely not been cut from an undamaged whole piece, but has obtained from embroidery that has been worned out in sections and in order to preseve its original state it has been framed using acid free paper mat and acid free glass.
